Full-Length Roadside Protection
Safe Direction was awarded the supply of safety barrier systems across Southern NSW to improve road safety and reduce the risk of run-off-road crashes. The project used RamShield® Guardrail with MSKT End Terminals, a fully crash-tested and compliant solution to protect motorists from roadside hazards.
Project Challenges
The project required barrier systems that:
✔️ Contain and redirect vehicles on high-speed roads
✔️ Perform on steep embankments with limited formation width
✔️ Meet strict crash test standards for roadside safety
✔️ Have a proven end treatment to reduce impact severity
Solution and Outcomes
RamShield® Guardrail was chosen for its narrow profile and performance on steep embankments. MSKT End Terminals were used as an energy-absorbing, MASH-compliant solution for barrier transitions.
