Key Route Upgrade
As part of East Gippsland Shire Council’s Scriveners Road upgrade, RamShield® Guardrail and MSKT End Terminals were installed along this 5.4 km section into Lakes Entrance. Scriveners Road is a critical alternative route for high two-way traffic and heavy vehicles in emergencies. The project also included road widening, culvert extensions, gravel re-sheeting, and full sealing.
Project Requirements
The project needed barrier systems that could:
✔️ Protect vehicles on a key alternative route for high traffic volumes
✔️ Integrate with widened and upgraded road infrastructure
✔️ Meet MASH Test Level 3 performance
✔️ Be durable under frequent heavy vehicle use
Solution and Results
RamShield® Guardrail, with MSKT End Terminals, was installed to provide full compliance roadside protection. The system contains and redirects vehicles while meeting the 2020 MASH standards.
