Safety Barrier Installation
The Railton Main Road Upgrade involved widening and sealing 3.6 km of road between Youngmans Road and Cement Works Road. Sealed shoulders reduce the risk of run-off-the-road and head-on crashes by giving drivers more time to regain control if a vehicle leaves the travel lane.
Project Challenges
The upgrade required barriers that:
